Bishop and Sr Pastor Ferando McCormick was born to Bertha McCormick and the late Eugene McCormick in Parkton, NC where he completed his high school education. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1994 and began his spiritual journey at Greater Zion Wall House of Miracles in Durham, NC.

 

Bishop McCormick joined the US Navy in 1996. As a service-member of the United States Navy, Pastor McCormick has had the God-ordained privilege and opportunity to serve, lead and minister in both Seoul Korea, and the Island of Guam. In June of 2001, Bishop Ferando was affirmed as Prophet by the late Apostle Viril M. Myers.

In December of 2006, Bishop McCormick medically retired from the US Navy and received an Honorable Discharge. In the year of 2007 he was ordained and commissioned as Pastor by Apostle Terry L. Peaks-Cash of Greater Zion Wall House of Miracles.

 

April of 2008, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, Bishop McCormick, along with his wife, founded the City of Zion Christian Ministry in Lawrenceville, GA. They held weekly Bible Studies that attracted people to come and join themselves as sons and daughters of the ministry. On November 15, 2009, City of Zion Christian Ministry held its first Sunday service. Bishop Ferando continues to Pastor God’s sheep on a weekly basis with insight, hope and direction.

Most recently, in March of 2023, he was again chosen by God and was consecrated and appointed to the office of Auxiliary Bishop under the leadership of The Most Reverend William H. Young, Jr of Florence, SC.

 

Bishop McCormick has a servant’s heart that is submitted to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Because of his wisdom and unique style of explaining the Scriptures, lives are restored and transformed by the life-altering Word of God. With the anointing and gifting of God, Bishop Ferando continues to deliver the prophetic word with keen accuracy and precision while bringing clarity, healing, transformation, and deliverance to many. As a spiritual teacher, he often challenges the hearer to expand their thinking and examine the Word in such a way that brings forth a clear Kingdom mindset for daily application and right now, victorious living. 

 

Bishop McCormick possesses a heart for people of all ages and meets them where they are, using humor, practicality, and a demonstrative approach to the Word of God. 

 

God has enlarged his territory and has expanded his influence to become a spiritual father to people in various states and countries. 

 

Since September of 1997, Bishop McCormick has been married to Assistant Pastor Tyressa McCormick. He is the father of three adult children; Devaris, LaTia and Quencia, and a grandfather to eleven grandchildren.
