Assistant Pastor Tyressa K. McCormick is the Co-Founder and Assistant Pastor of the City of Zion Christian Ministry in Lawrenceville, GA. She serves faithfully providing love and loyal support to her husband, Bishop and Sr. Pastor Ferando McCormick. She is a second-generation minister and is the youngest daughter of Reverend Ralph Mangum and the late Reverend Lola Mae Mangum. Assistant Pastor McCormick has been preaching and teaching both nationally and internationally for over three decades.
She exemplifies this by being an example setting leader, who has humbly served in various roles of ministry, including usher, praise and worship leader, drummer, choir director, armor bearer and evangelist before being promoted by the Lord to Assistant Pastor.
Her example of serving is still seen in the various hats she currently wears in the City. While serving in various ministry capacities, Assistant Pastor is the leader of the Women’s Ministry, one of the facilitators of the minister’s training, and actively takes part on the worship team when needed.

In addition to this, Assistant Pastor McCormick has a special passion to mentor, train and encourage women of all social classes to recognize their worth and live up to their full God-given potential by cultivating their own uniqueness and identity in Christ, regardless of their past or current circumstances. She encourages them to put their faith in action by exercising their God-given gifts, talents, skills and abilities. This passion has led her to hold an annual Daughter’s of Zion Conference and has led to the birth of ‘Girl Rock Your Worth Ministry’ where she is both the founder and CEO.
Through the launch of this ministry, God has given her the creative inspiration to design a jewelry line called “Girl Rock Your Worth” and “Man of Value” as a visual reminder for the wearer to remember that they are valuable to God.
Undoubtedly, whether she is teaching with humor and transparency, mentoring and encouraging, preaching and interceding, or designing jewelry, you will always find Assistant Pastor working.
If you don’t find her there, you will most assuredly find her being a devoted wife to her husband, a loving mother to her 3 children DeVaris, LaTia, and Quencia, a mother-in-love to David and Sherieka, a doting grandmother to her 11 grandchildren, and above all, a resolute servant to God!
